Trick Or Extra Treats - October

October brings us the first Halloween full moon in nearly two decades and with it, a testing month of planetary trials and gifts.  Secrets will be revealed, disruption put in our path, yet creativity at an all-time high.  Whether it’s Trick or Treat is up to us.

Aries Full Moon Shines On Our Mental Health

The first of two October full moons appears in our skies on the first of the month, and as this moon is shining down on us from Aries, representing the ego and the head, and sitting right next to Chiron, the ‘initial’ wounding, it will highlight the mental programming that we learnt from way back in our childhood, which now needs to be transformed.  These ideas we picked up about how we might not be enough or are not allowed to self-express are ready to upgrade on a mass level – the full moon brings them to awareness for completion – we no longer need these self-limiting thoughts.  We are ready to bring in new information that helps us succeed and self-actualise in a new way and learn new mental habits.  The move towards re-programming humanity to a happier way of being has been happening since Chiron moved fully into Aries in February 2019 and ‘mental health’ became a concept we all understood as something we need to take more responsibility for and proactively work on.

Saturn Carves Out A Karmic Path

As this full moon occurs just after Saturn turns direct, hints about how to proceed and what we ought to be working towards will be in focus, as Saturn always has an eye on karmic duty.  Saturn in Capricorn has been shaking the foundations of our society structures throughout the past year and Saturn turning forward, finally unlocks keys to the new era, bringing us new ideas to build a working life fit for the digital, Aquarian future.

Creative Explosion Of Jupiter Meets Neptune

We might wonder where these ideas are going to come from, but on 2nd October, Jupiter, planet of expansion, now makes the third of three exciting alignments to Neptune in Pisces where our dreams are forming and new wondrous possibilities are stirring.  The third alignment this year of these two intensely creative giants, opens up portals of consciousness, inspiring our imagination to new levels.  Neptune can often be delusional and unstable, but Jupiter in steady Capricorn ensures that these new pathways are pure potential and possibility.

Pluto Goes Where Angels Fear To Tread

As if these intense yet galvanising aspects aren’t enough to get busy with, Pluto, the dark lord of the underworld goes direct on 4th, ensuring that the first week of October is also a powerful initiation to dealing with shadow aspects.  As Pluto changes direction, he draws up all kinds of hidden or unseen notions we may have been ignoring.  That brilliant idea we never allowed to flourish, the unnerving feeling when watching a certain activity, these tiny details that stay with us, yet remain un-expressed, are now forced into play.  Pluto magnetises these very specific powerful karmic currents into situations we can no longer dismiss, and he shows us that small seeds planted long ago, have been waiting to transform our lives.  Now in Capricorn and after the Saturn conjunction, Pluto immediately squares Mars Retrograde on 8th and sets in motion a massive, explosive push through to new growth pathways; ones that we have feared to tread, yet will pay the biggest dividends in days and years to come.

Rome Burns But So Does The Lucky Star

This is an intensely creative month, where revelations and deep personal insights become the mother of invention and we would do well to get busy with our heart’s desires – don’t waste time on anything you don’t feel for.  The harmonious Libra new moon on 16th smooths the way for any pet projects, adding sparkle and pzazz since it occurs bang on lucky star Spica.  It’s just as well we have the blessing of the luckiest star in the zodiac, as Mercury will be going retrograde a few days before on 14th, and Mars Retrograde will square Jupiter on 17th a few days after.  These aspects either side, will bring confusion and disruption, but the lucky lunation is more powerful and we ought to steam ahead with anything we feel joyful about.  Let Rome burn whilst we take our pleasures, for in this we will magnetise more.

Cazimi Reveals Dynamic Secrets

If we manage to keep our cards dry on this rollercoaster, magical schemes could be revealed to us when Mercury, planet of communication, goes cazimi in Scorpio on 25th.  The cazimi aspect always brings brilliance and in Scorpio, we can expect Mercurial secrets to be told that will definitely change the power dynamics in personal relationships, but also on the global stage – pull up a seat!  Once this crucial piece of news is out of the bag the mood will change, as Mercury retrogrades back into Libra at the very moment that Venus moves forward into Libra.  The pincer movement of two personal planets moving into loving Libra delivers much needed harmony and a touch of gloss to any proceedings – perception is everything in this moment as we can choose to ignore new or obvious truths, or at least bring about their integration.

A Werewolf Wins Halloween

Governments may try and shut down Halloween, but on 31st October, the full moon in Taurus, makes it the second full moon on Halloween in 75 years, as well as a second full moon in October - we are just going to have to celebrate.  When the veil is thin on All Hallow’s Eve, the moon’s fullness will definitely bring out the werewolf in many, especially since the moon is conjunct quick-change planet Uranus in earthly, animalistic Taurus.  Kapow!  This is a recipe for shapeshifting, but also one for waking up the sleep of the dead.  Uranus in Taurus is designed to bring electrifying light to earth, what with 5G on the menu, but also the waking up of humanity to higher consciousness.  Even though we see the world crumbling around us, there is a greater plan panning out that we cannot see just yet, but the light of this Halloween Full Moon, wonders will be revealed.
