The Power Returns - November
We are all waiting for Mars to turn direct mid-November and for the power to get turned back on; we want assurance about where we are heading. However, November brings us to eclipse season where fresh instability opens us up to new ideas, new connections and perhaps even new fun!
No Ordinary Election
The first days of November are no laughing matter. Personal planets, Mars and Mercury are both retrograde, pulling us back into confusion about what is going on, and uncertainty about what lies ahead. The way forward is not clear, yet the battle for ideas and correct protocol is highly charged as dynamic Mars, whilst moving in retrograde motion, has already made a few challenging squares to the big planets in the corporate and political world of Capricorn. As America turns up to vote on 3rd November, it feels more like war we are battling and as Mercury turns direct on this day of all days, the chance for mistakes, accidents and outright chaos is extreme. We would hope that Mercury going forward would bring some clarity, but it is the day the planets change direction that often causes the upsets AND Mercury is also making a challenging square to super power Saturn – he thinks he can win, but not everyone is playing all their cards. Mercury can be tricky, but changing directions on this day and coming to blows with heavyweight Saturn, he can cause the greatest of spin and be downright deceitful. This is no ordinary election, nor lockdown.
Nothing To Declare
We might have a clear winner as leader of the free world, but the clash of Jupiter, who expands everything he touches, with Pluto, dark lord of the underworld on 7th November, brings out all the doubts, fears and underhand trades that have been going on so that we can finally see them for real. This is the third conjunction between these two this year, and each time, we get an upswell of alternative facts, conspiracy ideas or the revelation of the machinations behind political and corporate powers – and even rigged voting systems. Obviously this can work on a long-term scale in our personal lives, so we can also expect to see where we have been duped for years, as nothing can be hidden right now..
Feel The Truth And Do It Anyway
We can be get obsessed with certain ideas or notions whilst the Sun is in the shadows of Scorpio, so when the Scorpio Sun greets Juno, in charge of relationships on 8th, and then on 10th, connects to Neptune Retrograde in Pisces, the King of the sea AND of illusion, we know that we have to double check who is being honest with us, what are people, (people in power), trying to hide? The Sun, Juno and Neptune in these water signs, want us to feel the truth, or the deeper truths (as there is often more than one), as we start to get a little transparency, a little more powerful in our thinking and can make up our own minds with inner wisdom. Maybe our hunch was right, but pretty Venus in harmonious Libra likes to keep things light and sweet, her opposition to Mars Retrograde highlights doubts over anything that looks too good to be true.
The Power Gets Turned Back On
We’ve been waiting for Mars to go direct for what seems like forever. This has been one of the most powerful retrogrades for a long time as Mars is our personal power dynamo and in Aries his home sign of the ego, the self and beginnings; going backwards has been like pulling the plug on our navigation GPS. Nobody has been functioning as they should, but now at last, on 14th November, Mars turns direct and we can let out a sigh of relief. This is good astrological news indeed, and as it occurs a day before the New Moon in Scorpio, we can expect the lights to go back on, and the power to return to everything. We will notice this shift in perspective and energy on 14th and 15th, but in reality we could be waiting until the end of November for Mars to really pick up speed and show us the money. So don’t expect this to be the starter klaxon to get going, more like the line in the sand after which, things will slowly gather pace.
Use Your Own Power Supply
The New Moon in Scorpio on 15th is indeed a fresh look at what sub-conscious programming is driving our lives and perhaps we are being prompted to dig deep and transform and progress. The New Moon is straight after Mars turns direct, so we really are being handed the baton to look within, understand and take charge of what occurs on the outside (as we are the creator beings of our own reality). Jupiter, planet of expansion and abundance will be in aspect for this lunar event, and in turn lovely Venus in Libra adds her come hither temptation. This not just a hint or a prompt, but a strong shove to get a grip with our own version of reality, go with what feels right for us, and find out what then transpires.
Sub-Conscious Power Shifts
On 21st November, lovely Venus moves out of sweet Libra into uncompromising Scorpio, and for a moment, she joins Mercury and the Sun here in the dark shadows. This is a small moment of sub-conscious power being brought to the surface for exploration, and days later on 23rd/24th, Mercury in Scorpio makes a connection with Neptune and the moon in watery Pisces; power shifts are inevitable as new information comes to light and we attune to new facets of wisdom which allows for much more, much needed creativity.
Gracious Loving Cord Cutting
Mercury, planet of information then connects to Pluto on 27th, the ruler of Scorpio himself, and things get really serious. We simply cannot pretend any longer, that we don’t know or can let these things go on as they are…Mercury here is highly active, wanting fresh connections and news. Venus in Scorpio is now right opposite Uranus the God of Change, and in the most gracious but firm way, cuts the cords that are holding us all in the trance.
Complicated Lunar Eclipse
It’s just as well Mercury and Venus give us the words and the style to get out of difficult situations, as eclipse season starts on the last day of November, as the moon is eclipsed in early Gemini. The sign of the twins is complicated or should we say, ‘can be deceitful’ – and an eclipse here can wake us up to what choice of media we are consuming, what lies we are telling ourselves or being fed. An eclipse in Gemini wants us to upgrade our news feeds and have the wit and vivacity to compute and ascertain our own information and get around any censorship or false results.
